Have to say I really enjoyed your presentation today at Stanwell.  I was the person who stopped by to ask you if you do presentations in catholic schools and requested one of your cards.  I must say I have sat in many of these presentations but this one in particular hit home with me.  One of the many things you presented that I definitely want to implement in my own home is the license to speak with my children. 

Thanks again for the presentation.  It was an eye opener and really hit a note with me, specially you ending story about the chat you had with your son.  Sometimes I feel like I’m losing touch with my 15 year old boy and I need to get an open and honest dialogue happening with him as well as the rest of the clan.

I just sat through your presentation about mental health and I have to say I have been so enlightened on the issue and how it really plays a part on everyday life. Through my life, it has not been very smooth… in 2012 I was diagnosed with PTSD after I was involved in a sexual assault whilst completing Year 11. Ever since then I have been suffering with anxiety and depression with thoughts and intentions of taking my own life because I could not find a way out.

After countless psychologist and psychiatrist appointments, I just continued to feel overwhelmed. I have been on the up but still get confronted sometimes where I find myself questioning my life and why me? I seriously appreciate that talk you gave as I can now see the brighter side and how to combat my demons. At the ripe old age of 22, it is so hard sometimes to confide in someone as the experience I was involved in is still new and around in my head.

Again, thank you so much for time and I seriously hope I can use some of those techniques to combat my depression and anxiety. Mental Health really does suck but there is always a way out.

Also I sincerely appreciate the courage it must have taken for you to include your own family in the presentation, thank you so much for sharing this personal experience. 

I took on board the 2 second rule.  I have been the sole carer for an elderly parent for over a decade, at times I feel so overwhelmed and recently I reacted in a way that was so unexpected and full of rage that I am still left with a hangover of raw emotions.  I am hoping that with this rule in mind and concentrating on my breathing that I can find strength to continue on.

I look forward to being in the audience of your next seminar, you have refreshed my hope that there are people out there who might even care.

Hi Paul,

Hope you're well and having a wonderful week.  We had you come and deliver a seminar to our teaching staff a couple of weeks ago.  I just wanted to write and thank you for what you presented.  It was very powerful and has affected the way I have made decisions since that time.  I have heard that within our staff many people were impacted by what you said.  They then went home and spoke to people they know about what was shared and so as a result, there are whole ripple effects of change being actioned.

There was so much I could mention but what really impacted me was the thought that we value particular things such as our health or our family, but then we make choices which don't align with those things being achieved, which creates internal conflict within ourselves.
It reminds me of something I was talking to with a friend last night.  About how we are never victims.  We make choices and we are adults.  We need to recognise that we are responsible for what we choose.

Thank-you for sharing what you have journeyed and using that to impact the destinies of individuals and families. You may never realise all the impact you have had, but I think if you could, you would be amazed.

Anyway, thanks again for doing what you do Paul and being real so people can connect with what you share.  I hope you continue to have more and more opportunities to impact people's lives and that your own life is blessed.

There were a few tears on the trip home as we discussed some family issues that was close to us that you touched on!

I have just completed my yearly blood test and it has come back with a high iron (Serum Ferritin) of 424ug/L. A re-test 10 days later and the level has dropped to 334ug/L. Have booked in to the GP to discuss. My brother has had high iron too and has controlled it with diet.

Also Cholesterol is 6.2, down from 6.9 last year. Also runs in the family!

I also asked to test for testosterone, vitamin D and cortisol as you suggested. All in good range.
All other blood levels were in range.

Is there any suggestions from your experience you can help me with or would you like me to email the full results.

Thank you so much for the speech you gave last night. Your seminar I can say single handily saved my life. I am a person who always sees the best side of life, I have so many amazing supportive special people in my life who are there for me no matter what. I have been best man on 2 weddings and a groomsman 6 times. I would like to think I am a person who people like and who many have come to for help and advice in their own lives. As being seen as a guy who has everything.

I broke up with my fiancé on tues which was the hardest thing I have ever done in my life. I spoke to you momentarily about her and the demons she has been fighting and my lack of being able to cope with a partner who one minute can be the most amazing person in the world to someone who is just a dead set bitch.

Until now I have never understood depression. I always thought it was a weak persons excuse on them not being able to say fuck it life is tough but if it wasn't for the shit things in life they good moments would be just normality. 

After your seminar giving myself clarity with the breath exercise and looking at suicide to be the easy way out I thank you from the bottom of my heart mate. I was going to book a ticket overseas and blow the whole round of work and just go on a full wrecking mission to destroy myself and end my life. I am so glad I didn't and I came into work and your seminar was on.

Your seminar should be given globally mate I guarantee it would save so many peoples life. You talk about the week before someone does it, if all those people who gave their life sat through your seminar in that week before I know so many people would seek help and wouldn't do it. I think to myself I was in that week before hearing you speak.

I now know why people do it, a humans natural reaction when there hurting is to hurt the person who made them feel this way. And by taking their life is the ultimate fuck you to that person or people that put you into a mental frame where they think that's there only option.

Speaking to someone about what's going on isn't always the option mate in some cases, all my mates could of picked me up and spoke to me but it wasn't until seeing you that my mental head space changed. 

I know I am just rambling on now mate but just wanted to once again say thank you thank u so much mate your truly an amazing man and a life saver.
